There is a sense of serenity when surrounded by nature; it feels like I am home. There are no humans without nature, we are a product of this world and the connection is felt deep within. You can find yourself within the trees, within the mountains and the rivers; the nature around us has given us life. In this idea I created my latest series, "Human Nature."

            After exploring ten states and National Parks this past summer over two month period I was able to bring myself back to nature. I was able to discard the rituals of our everyday routine by hiking through mountains, seeing wildlife, rivers, waterfalls and the list goes on. I was able to find myself intertwined with my surroundings, while doing so I became a beautiful blend of nature.

            By layering self-portraits digitally with the landscape photos I took while traveling I merged myself (human) with the nature that impacted me the most. This nature I saw became a part of me and is depicted as such through my series "Human Nature."
